Melinda Sordino wasn't always an outcast. But, starting 9th grade at Merryweather High is an entirely different story. Melinda's old friends no longer want to associate with her and the new kids she meets are no different. They think they have their reasons; after all, Melinda did call the cops and break up an end of summer party. But, what they don't know is why Melinda called the cops.
With no friends to confide in and a strained relationship with her parents, Melinda has no one to talk to and is forced to deal with her problems inside her own head, quietly trying to forget what happened. But, the silence doesn't help. Finally, something happens that makes Melinda SPEAK!

I have read the book "speak". I really enjoyed it. There have been times when i couldnt put the book down but i had to because i would be late to my next class. I recommend this book to everyone. Especially if you are in high school, you might be able to relate to the book.
The book "speak" was a pretty good. It's hard to understand how she could be quiet for so long about something that serious.
I have read most of Speak and it is a very good book. Speak is a great book that i would suggest it to everyone especially high school students. i like how the author describes things in the book; she made it very interesting
The book "Speak" can relate to everybody who has gone to high school, or is going into high school. I was not able to put this book down and I was able to finish it in about two days. I could not believe how somebody could just put up with the things the Melinda went through...
This was a great book! i couldn't ever seem to put it down! it makes me think about all the people in school and around my neighborhood who are quiet and think that maybe they are going through something like this.
Im not finished reading the book but i enjoyed it alot so far.
its very interesting and a great book to read.
I have'nt finish all of speak but by reading half of it, it's a very good book.I recomend it to everyone looking for a good book.
